Cafe Birkenhead Wedding – Eddie and Julie – St Mary's Balmain and

After some fun at the e-session in February, it was time to get (not so) serious for the Big Day. After cracking it up with the boys at Eddie’s place, I drove to Julie’s where getting-ready mayhem was well underway. After the ceremony in the breathtaking St Mary’s Cathedral in Balmain, we chased the fast-fading winter light at the edge of Balmain with some magnificent city views and partied on at Sydney’s best kept secret location: Cafe Birkenhead.

A traditional Lithuanian wedding cake. It’s heated over 8 hours on a spit, with batter slowly dripped along it to create an amazing pattern of spikes. What a talking piece!

Congratulations Eddie and Julie, and I wish you all the best with your new lives together.
