Pre-wedding Photo Shoot / E-Session

Why have an e-session?
When choosing a wedding photographer, you typically will meet with a few, check out their work, and see if you “click” with them. You both then make a decision based on your impression of and confidence in the photographer. But what if you could actually see your photographer in action, actually taking photos of the two of you? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to see photos of you both before the wedding, taken by the photographer you’re interested in booking?
An engagement photo shoot (also called an e-session) is a great way to build rapport with your photographer, and to see how they capture you. You also get some great professional casual photos of yourselves to keep.
Are you a bit camera shy? Don’t know what to do when there’s a camera pointing at you? E-sessions are a great way to break the ice with your photographer, so on your wedding day you’ll be a lot more relaxed in front of your camera – and it will definitely show in the photos!
Choosing a location
Do you love the beach? Do you prefer urban grit and grunge, or maybe trees and greenery? Whatever your flavour, we can take some wonderful relaxed photos of the two of you in surroundings that mean something to you. I’m happy to suggest some pretty locations or you can tell me where you’d like to go.
How does it work?
It’s easy …
- Once we’ve worked out a location, we set a date for the photos
- We meet up on the day (you can wear casual clothes or formal clothes – both work well as long as you’re comfortable)
- For one or two hours I’ll capture the two of you just being yourselves and enjoying each other’s company. It’s a lot of fun and very casual.
- You will then have the option to order any prints or photo book, or just buy the disc of high resolution images and do your own printing.
What’s the cost?
It’s free! And there is no obligation to book Photos by Jay for your wedding day.
You can purchase the high resolution images, and purchase a canvas with 3 or 4 photos from the day professionally designed to display at the reception and hang up in your home after the wedding.
E-sessions are a lot of fun and help you get a feel for what to expect for your wedding day and overcome any “camera nerves”.
